Hello! I clicked on google search which gave me a warning that my system had viruses in different folders--I didn't download anything & shut my computer down.  However, my system has been slow & some programs stopped working. I downloaded Spyware Tools which has caught 147 viruses two days ago & 74 viruses yesterday plus 5 threats.  However, I'm still having problems. I couldn't run this either:  Please download RootRepeal from Here, Here, or Here and save it to your desktop.
A.Open the RootRepeal icon  on your desktop.
B.Click the Report tab .
C.Click the Scan button .

Here are my logs:

Hi, Lisa.  Welcome to LandzDown Forum!  :rose:

For RootRepeal, please adjust the Settings by changing this level to a higher level.  That should solve the problem.

Hi, Lisa.

From your "tweets", I expect you have been busy at work.

According to your log, Symantec AntiVirus is outdated.  If your subscription is expired and you are not going to renew it, the following are free for personal use:

avast! 4 Home Edition
Avira AntiVir PersonalEdition Classic
Microsoft Security Essentials

Should you elect to replace your current A/V, select and download the replacement first.  You may also want to use the product's removal tool to eliminate any left over remnants following the uninstall.  Links to major A/V product removal tools are available in my blog post at Antivirus Product Removal Tools.  Download the appropriate tool then go to add/remove programs and uninstall the current product, followed by the tool. Shutdown/restart the computer and finally install and update the replacement.

Note:  In the event you do replace your A/V product, you will need a software firewall.  You can go to the Control Panel\Security and turn on the Windows Firewall or download and install one of the following firewalls, free for personal use.

Online Armor Free
Agnitum Outpost Firewall

The version of Adobe Reader on your computer is out of date and vulnerable.

1.  Go to add/remove programs and uninstall Adobe Reader Adobe Reader 8.1.2
2.  Install the latest version of Adobe Reader from http://www.adobe.com/products/reader/
or
3.  Switch to an alternate PDF reader.  There are a number of open source readers available from http://pdfreaders.org/.

Since I am not seeing anything else of concern in your logs, I would be more comfortable if you would run another scan for me.  Please do the following:

Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune from http://www.atribune.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=25&Itemid=25 . Save it to your Desktop.

Run ATF Cleaner

  • Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
  • Click Select All found at the bottom of the list.
  • Click the Empty Selected button.
  • Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.
  • Shutdown/restart the computer.

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your desktop.

  • Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
  • At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to
    Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and
    Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
  • Click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, be sure Quick scan is selected, then click Scan.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Be sure that everything is checked, EXCEPT items in System Restore as shown in this sample:
  • Click Remove Selected.
  • When completed, a log will open in Notepad. Please save it to a convenient location. The log can also be found here: C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Application Data\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\Logs\log-date.txt
  • Please post contents of that file in your next reply and a fresh HijackThis log.
