It is occasionally reported that Scotty will keep barking without any indication as to the reason for the barking.  No, this isn't an occasion where Scotty needs to go for a walk.  Rather, the ongoing barking appears to be the result of some kind of corruption of the WinPatrol files.  What typically resolves the problem is to download and install the newest version of WinPatrol, available from http://www.winpatrol.com/download.html.

PLUS Licensees:  Although Scotty generally remembers your PLUS Name and Registration Code, it is best to make a note of it.  In the event Scotty forgets, click on the PLUS tab and enter your Name/Registration Code combination to reactivate your PLUS features.

What if Scotty Keeps Barking After Updating?

If the barking is due to an unrecognized file or program, your computer may be infected.  For assistance in cleaning your computer, follow the instructions at Log Posting Instructions and we'll do our best to assist.
