I thought detection of InstallMate was fixed in version 2, but version 3 is detecting it again.

This new AdwCleaner has the option to uncheck Installmate for deletion, and while you do not uninstall AdwCleaner you have a quarantine folder to restore any file, but still... It should not be detected.

Being AdwCleaner Forums in French it is a little hard to know were to report this.

Xplode has been busy with the update to the program and I understand he is catching up adding files to detection.  However, in running the latest version, it appears that it is only C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\InstallMate that is being picked up and not C:\ProgramData\InstallMate\.

With the update to v3.0 you can UNcheck InstallMate and it won't be removed.  If you click Clean without unchecking the folder and inadvertently remove Installmate, it can be restored from Quarantine:

To restore a file:

  •     Launch AdwCleaner and click Tools > Click Quarantine manager.
  •     Place a check in the box next to the file(s) to be restored.
  •     Click Restore (a logfile will open).
