QuoteGoogle updates its Chrome browser on a very aggressive timeline, often a couple of times a month. Usually, each update includes a handful of security fixes, maybe 12 or 15. On Tuesday, the company released Chrome 38, which patched a staggering 159 vulnerabilities.

The article continues to include that 113 of the fixes were for minor flaws.  However, for a browser that is reportedly often updated a couple of times a month, that is an awful lot of fixes.  Twelve separate CVE's were addressed with the update.

I installed it, but only use it when IE cannot connect and I want to see if the problem is the site, or IE - it usually is the site. But you are right, that is a huge number, or so it seems to me.

 That's all I need to know to inform me that I will always keep Chrome uninstalled.  :rose:

Like Digerati, I do keep several browsers installed, and for similar reasons, yet I prefer to keep my personal information out of Google's hands as much as possible.

It's a whole new version number so many changes from the old are to be expected. I would rather Google report they have fixed 159 vulnerabilities than learn they still exist. I would not use this as a reason NOT to install or use it. It still does not need to be your default, if you prefer another. I prefer IE, but would go to Chrome before FF any day with its long history of high numbers of reported vulnerabilities. That said, Pale Moon keeps growing on me.

I think it's called - "hey, that's handy -- let's copy and paste it here" - we've reinvented the wheel.
