Excellent!  Please ask Skevi how her computer is working now.  Also, has she checked out Office Online or the suggestions Winchester73 provided for alternate word processing programs?

I am glad to read your ''Excellent!''  This means that we are about the end of the road?  :mitch:

I told her about Libre Office, as it does not need Java, and Office Online. It's her choice from now on. She suffered and she learned (I hope).

P.S.1 Corrine, I already feel tired, forwarding Skevi your instructions. But you are still here, helping me and so many others. Thank you is not enough, but what else can I do?   :rose:

P.S.2 My Pale Moon did it again, while I was writing...

Yes, we are near the end of the road, Panos.

As to Pale Moon, I seem to recall a previous discussion about this (too much going so haven't searched for earlier posts).  Perhaps a separate topic in the Computer Problems forum would be a good idea, explaining with as much detail as possible what happens, how long Pale Moon has been open, how many tabs open at the time.

I remember that I opened a topic about this, in Computer's problems and solutions, and you suggested to change a number (I don't remember where and how). I can't find it now, but never mind.

It was probably one of the threads lost when our hosting company had a problem.

Hi, Corrine and LzD friends.

I didn't have a response from Skevi today. She travels at the weekends, so perhaps on Monday. I will let you know, of course. Meanwhile, If there is anything else to ask her to do, please tell me.

Only if her computer is back to normal, she can run Delfix to clean up the tools we used.

Please download Delfix from here.

Ensure the following boxes are checked:
  • Remove disinfection tools
  • Create registry backup
  • Purge system restore

  • Click Run
The program will run for a few moments and then notepad will open with a log.   Please paste the log in your next reply.

Corrine,

Everything seems to be back in normal, so I sent her the Delfix instructions.

However, she has some issues with Youtube video watching. Sound and picture are not synced and also the video stops sometimes. she installed the newest flash player for both her browsers.

The Adobe site isn't the most user friendly.  My first thought was hardware acceleration, which is one of the suggestions on this page:  https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/video-playback-issues.html .  Skevi will have to go to that webpage and follow the instructions in the "Solve video playback issues" section.  It will involve right-clicking the red FlashPlayer image and UNchecking "Enable Hardware Acceleration".  There are other suggestions as well.  Hopefully, there is a Greek version of the site available, which will obviously make it much easier.
