I know about GiveAwayofTheDay but this site someone posted is new to me

so I think from time to time I will look in to see if there is anything I want to try.

They have a unique license for every download? If yes, I will bookmark the page.  :)
If not, what's the different from pirated programs?

The sites are legitimate.  Sometimes, the license is only for one year with the idea that once the person uses the software they will renew the license.  Others are for the advertisement value.

Give Away of the day, isn't as user friendly anymore, they require you to post to facebook or twitter to receive the download. If not you have to provide a email address. How can you tell someone you like the software, if you haven't tested it?

DrM, I believe you get the info via an email but I'm not sure. I also don't know if is is unique. If you want to use it on 2 computers, you'd need to install it on 2 computers during the activation period.
You must install and register the program when it is offered. You can't download it today and decide to install it 3 months from now; it will not work.

The programs might be bundled with other things but since I always do a custom install, I do see and uncheck/untick items I don't want. Also there may be ads in the program. I'm willing to put up with that because I consider the program a retail unlimited trial. Having a week or 30 day trial does me no good because I rarely use a new program every day for a week or a month so I never have the chance to decide if I am willing to spend $$$ for the program.

There is a catch to this, you have to purchase something in order to become a member of the club. You can then download for free there software offers.

Thanks techie, I was not aware of that string attached!
That is only for the current software. It was a different giveaway when I posted. It was not an Auslogics program so it had no strings.

Just keep checking that site and you will see that not all require you to purchase something.
