I have problems with Windows updates again, and I got very tired trying to fix this computer which is not so old.

Remember the updates problem I had, here: http://www.landzdown.com/computer-problems-questions-and-solutions!/help!!!-56733/msg181412/#msg181412

Now, again. I got from ESET a warning that my operating system is not up to date, so I ran Windows updates. The process reached 27% and stopped. I stopped and restarted Windows update service, but nothing changed. Now, my computer still looks for updates (for 30 minutes now).

I don't want to ask questions here, every time I have a problem, because I understand that despite of your willingness to help, you have your works and life, but I really looked for a solution in Google and found nothing...

So, if you have any advise, I would appreciate it, as always...

My advice - ignore the ESET warning. Not everyone gets all the Win 10 updates the same day they come out. With 145 million computers running Win 10, it will take time.
You just have to be patient and wait until MS sends you the OS updates.

Also MS held off doing the flash update because it was creating a problem in Win 10 so ESET might say you were out of date with flash BUT there was not yet an update issued for Win 10 users.
Everyone but Win 10 got an update January 2nd. Win 10 users had to wait until the 12th of January for the patch.

Microsoft Updates, say that I have updates.

After trying a lot, I installed some updates. But not all. I attach what I get now.

I do not run Windows 10 and the "newest" version of Office I have installed is 2007 so I can't help you with those Office updates.

Thanks, plodr.

It seems that nobody can help now.

It isn't that no one can help, Panos, rather that Windows Update is not our specialty.  Sysnative, where you're already a member, has a Windows Update forum.  Don't run CCleaner or any similar product.  Follow the instructions here:  Windows Update Forum Posting Instructions.  Post a link to this topic which illustrates the issue you're having.

OK, Corrine, I just didn't understand that I should ask for help somewhere else.

Anyway, I will tell you what I did till now, I will try some other things, and if nothing change to better during ... 2016, I'll post at Sysnative. :)

I downloaded Microsoft Updates Troubleshooter and ran it. The result: Corrupt or missing service registration.
I went to Microsoft's Download Center and downloaded manually the two problematic updates. Then, I installed them. OK!
I ran again the Troubleshooter, and got the same error.
Now, when I click for updates, it says that the computer is up to date. BUT: when I go to Updates history, I don't see the these two updates. Although, I can see them when I go to the Uninstall Updates section.

I would like to ask one LAST question:

Windows updates are set to automatic mode in Windows 10 Home. How I will Know that they are done? Till now, ESET made me realize that I had new updates, and installed them. What if I hadn't got ESET?

Thank you and good night for now. :)

Since updates are automatic, they would have been downloaded in the background without you having "checked for updates".  You would have been notified to restart or schedule a restart of your computer to install the updates.
