she, having the 2nd steering wheel, performs her backseat driving from the front seat whilst scolding him for his lack of driving skills.

The wife pulls out a spare steering wheel and mimics the actions of her husband. As they drive down the road they overtake the flash young guy in his shiny car and as they pull along side him the woman is immediately adjacent to the young man. She scowls at him and then makes what appears to a violent swerve to the right. The young man thinks that the red car is going to crash into him and takes avoiding action. He loses control of his car and spins it around in the road as the old couple drive on sedately, laughing as they do so.
