Spybot's S & D teatimer.

Do you use it or not?

I am not quite sure what it is exactly, other then it kinda works like spywareblaster or spywareguard, to prevent spyware from getting to your computer in the first place.

I was also told a long time ago, that if you run hjt, you should disable teatimer first??

I am kinda confused about the whole thing.

Anyone willing to explain it to me?

Hi skittlepc! :D

A Real time monitoring program checks out all actions that happens as long as your computer is on (the simplified explanation).
Real time monitoring programs, as for instance SpyBots Teatimer, can interfer with the cleanup of a computer.
It is advisable to temporarilly disable those programs before cleaning and then enable after the cleanup is completed.
That's why it's recommended not to have real time monitoring programs activated in some special situations.

Corrine has posted a very helpful information on that matter here.

Thanks Jason and Winchester!  Great info!

Especially that link that explained the "bug" they are having.  It was driving me nuts, that I couldn't get that pop up window to show all of the buttons!  lol  But I figured it out.
