i've seen clips of harriers dropping sandbags, and stealth acft dropping red cross pallets...

I just saw this - you have seen video of Harriers and Stealth aircraft doing this?  To my knowledge this would never be attemted, that is my we have C-130's to do things like this.  Not to mention Helicopters.

Harriers can take off vertical, lightly load, they generally take pretty much like a normal plane.  I don't think they have any eternal storage except a bomb bay, same with the stealth.
