Hi! I have had loads of problem and with the help of "Die Hard" (here in the forum) we have eliminated about 80 or so different kind of virus. Many which have been high risk. I have sent him HiJackThis and Ewido logs, with now the last log (u can c it in "where is Die Hard when u need him" thread) where all seems to be good and cleaned. But clearly is not!

I have trouble deleating hidden files in the Temporary Internet Files. There were about 1400 files that I couldn´t delete. After using the tool "EmptyTemporaryInternetFiles" there are about 20 files 9mb that I can´t touch. I think that´s where the virus lie, and are getting stronger. Have nearley no kontrol over buttons, example, on the start menu the differert adresses are blinking all over the place. And when I tried to click on a file in a map, I couldn´t, it kept jumping to other files that I didn´t click on. Hard to get my hands on the removal tool in C: if it keeps doing that.

Is there anyone here who can help me get rid of those files?
I took the picture that looks like me the most!:) I really do hate virus! I´m thinking of chucking out my (kinda) new computer from the window! (two stories high) :)

VirusHater,
QuoteHow do I empty Temporary Internet Files ?
To save you the hassle of doing this there are some free programs that you can use that will do that for you  ;) one such program is
CCleaner

QuoteCleans the following:
Internet Explorer Cache, History, Cookies, Index.dat.
Recycle Bin, Temporary files and Log files.
Recently opened URLs and files.
Third-party application temp files and recent file lists (MRUs).
Including: Firefox, Opera, Media Player, eMule, Kazaa, Google Toolbar, Netscape, Office XP, Nero, Adobe Acrobat, WinRAR, WinAce, WinZip and more...
Advanced Registry scanner to remove unused and old entries (includes backup).
Including File Extensions, ActiveX Controls, ClassIDs, ProgIDs, Uninstallers, Shared DLLs, Fonts, Help Files, Application Paths, Icons, Invalid Shortcuts and more...
This software is completely free and contains no Spyware or Adware.
(Note CCleaner Setup: go to >options > settings > Uncheck "Only delete files in Windows Temp folders older than 48 hours").

Hi VirusHater,
I concur with GR@PH;<'S.  CCleaner is a good program for cleaning out temporary files of all kinds.  However, by the wording of your message, and looking at the thread where Die Hard was helping you (which is almost entirely...not English), I wonder if you may be referring to files still compromised by malware.  In that case, I would strongly encourage you to continue working with DieHard.  It appears you have a good bit of work left to do, to clean up your system.  And I think that would best be accomplished by continuing to work with DieHard -- both because of the language "barrier", and because he knows the history of your problems. Yeah Brynn you´re right!

I have come to that conclusion myself:) Just that I am worried the longer nothing is done the stronger the virus will become.

So you can´t swedish then:)

Ciao!

Brynn

Yeah, sorry -- no Swedish :)
Not much good with viruses either, just think that continuity with one support professional might be best for your particular problems  ;)

Best of luck!
These are great folks here at Landzdown, very knowledgable, kind and helpful.  If anyone can fix your system, it's Lzd members!

Hang in there!

PS -- With the great volume of virus and other malware on your system, a few more days isn't going to matter.  It's most important to have several good and powerful security programs running, to prevent further "infection", which I'm sure DieHard either has, or will soon explain.  It may take some time to get your system clean.  Although I certainly understand your frustration and desire get on with the process.  Since I can't read your previous discussions, I'm not sure if you are aware it's a holiday weekend in the USA. I don't know DieHard, or from whence he? hails, but try to be patient  :|
