Hi, I removed my plus version, the uninstall from start menu failed (just opened windows explorer?) so I used add remove program which seemed to work. However I still have right click winpatrol plus on everything and a few logs data etc.
Anyway to remove it fully? or is it a re install windows job?
Thanks

Corrine

Hi, jarvis10.

Welcome to LandzDown Forum.  There isn't a removal tool for WinPatrol.  However, you can follow the instructions in this topic:  Completely Uninstall and Reinstall WinPatrol.

Hello and thanks for your help, I already did those, I still cannot remove the right click plus from explorer. There is nothing obvious in regeditcurrent>*>shellex>context menu. am I missing something? thanks.

I tried reinstall and remove again, right click is still there, windows shell seems to be reading from the wrong directory, im going to lose a weeks work and roll back. thanks for trying anyways.

Have you tried the following:

Reinstall WinPatrol
Click on the Scotty icon in your system tray.
go to the OPTIONS tab
===> *** UNcheck the box for Windows Explorer Integration ***

Hopefully, that should remove the Right-Click Plus option from Explorer.

If so, and if you still want to uninstall WinPatrol, EXIT the program, and then uninstall.

Were you having other problems/dissatisfaction with WinPatrol that led you to remove it?

P.S.

If that box wasn't already checked, I would suggest first putting in the check, and then UNchecking it.
