PaleMoon itself stopped supporting XP... however, it has endorsed the third-party customized build by Binary Outcast http://binaryoutcast.com/projects/pm4xp/

Version 25.4.0 - Released: 2015-05-08

Pale Moon's own Atom/XP version will also work fine on XP x86: http://www.palemoon.org/palemoon-atom.shtml

What is that, a software fork ? Not a big fan of forks as they can and do run away from what the developers initially intended for the product.

Nevertheless, no one should be running Windows XP these days.  Someone on XP was able to updgrade internally just today, so this is a bit of a support mess now as well.

Not really a fork, it's built from data supplied by the Pale Moon Dev, who doesn't have the time (and maybe not an XP machine) to build it himself, it's built by Tobin, a very active member of the Pale Moon team.

When it comes down to Atom netbooks/nettops that were designed with very limited hardware and might already be very close to retirement, I see little mileage to be gained out of trying to force those users into an OS upgrade (W7 could well be their limit anyway) when they would be better served putting aside that money towards their next computer.

Pale Moon has been updated to 25.4.1 to address two critical bugs in 25.4:

◦Fixed loss of the browser's disk cache on startup due to incorrect corruption detection logic
◦Fixed a browser crash on some HTML5 games

The following note was provided by Matt Tobin:

QuoteNOTE: The the following comment ONLY affects the third party contributed version Pale Moon for Windows XP.. The Atom version is not affected and is not subject to this comment or issue.

Please pay CLOSE attention to the upgrade dialog.. If you happen to be on PM4XP There was an issue with the 25.4.0...

If you see the Update dialog say "Pale Moon 25.4.1 (x86 or x64) DO NOT UPDATE and go to http://binaryoutcast.com/projects/pm4xp/ and download the full installer. If you are on PM4XP 25.3.2 or lower and see it say "Pale Moon for Windows XP 25.4.1" then it is safe to update...

If you are in doubt please go and get the full installer from the BinOC page.
