Yes the Windows 10 Anniversary update is getting closer. If you didn't or aren't going to take the free upgrade, then it's not important and is about gone. It ends on the 29th of July.

Most insiders have already seen the main changes coming. There are a number of features being updated or a few additions.

QuoteFirst order of business is to confirm what everyone has been asking since the release of Windows 10 Build 14393 one week ago - is this the final build of the Windows 10 Anniversary Update?

The answer is yes as I was able to confirm with Microsoft last Wednesday during a briefing on the Anniversary Update in New York City.

Note, however, that the Windows 10 Anniversary Update won't hit everyone at once.  It will be a staggered update as was the November update to 1511.  Although the update to Windows 10 had a roll-back period of 30 days, the roll-back period for the Windows 10 Anniversary Update is 10 days.  Thus, anyone who updated to Windows 10 within the past 30 days may want to keep that in mind.

I can't believe that people are already complaining about not receiving the update. Statements like it is August 2, 12:01 am pacific time and no update or media creation download. I guess people expect miracles, there is only more than 350 million systems that will be offered the update and I don't now if that number includes insiders.

Next, once offered, they'll complain about the slow download because the servers are overloaded   8)
