From another thread:
Quote from: NiecarrahWe are trying to get our Tavern/Restaurant up and running and it IS crunch time!

I certainly hope that you have made certain that the tavern is not located within easy  :boat3:  access by our own  :Hammys pint: lovin' !!!

When is the grand opening?  Do you deliver?  I know a certain person whose user name identifies him as MSFT who frequently orders out.  Perhaps air freight delivery?

Wishing you much success!  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:

Thank You Corrine, that is very kind of you.  We will have Take Out, but I think Air Freight is out of the question. LOL   Perhaps some desserts could make it?  However we should be open within the next 6-8 weeks!  Providing all the red tape goes smoothly.  Harrisburg has been known to drag their feet in these areas.  Our lawyer has good contacts there so we are hoping...  Once again Thank You .  But I do wish we were close enough for some of our own(LZD), to come a get libations and food!! Would definitely have a successful Tavern!  :gwave:

WELL... YOU ASKED FOR IT!  Ok let's see... No pix at this time, as I cannot locate my camera software since I got this new puter last fall?  So I tried scanning some matte finish pics and they s*&%#ed!  Addy/etc.:   The Sproul Tavern on Bedford St., Sproul, PA.   16682 - 814-239-5868.  Sproul is a small town of 137!!  Only 7 buildings on Bedford St.  We are the second from the corner at Reed St.  Menu:  Down Home Cooking, only things I would serve my own family.  No canned gravies, real mashed potatoes, French Fries with the skins, etc.  Ham Pot Pie, Stuffed Green Peppers, Lasagna, Turkey and the trimmings, Stuffed Meatloaf, Meatball Sandwiches, Hamloaf Balls, Pork, Sauerkraut and Dumplings, Chili Con Carne, Hot Roast Beef, Pork or Turkey Sandwiches, Oven Baked Chicken, Potato Soup, N.E. Clam Chowder, Poor Mans Steak in gravy w/potatoes, Pizza Casserole just to name a few.  All from my tried and true recipes. Full liquor license with Budweiser, Coor's Light and Yuengling Black & Tan on tap.  Yes on the Canadians, I like Molson in the mini keg myself.  My building is four stories.  The ground floor (handicap accessible)is  the tavern with eating and the first phase.  The second level will become a dining room/all family style, the second phase.  The third level will be a Bed and Breakfast for weekends and Special stays ONLY!  No permanence, and thus phase three.  We are at the foot of Blue Knob Ski Resort, so...  And the forth level will become our living space as the business move up!  Now staying on second level, and preparing for its future.  I am located 1/4 mile off I-99 in a straight path from the off/on ramps.  Have a parking lot like Wally World's Super Centers.  This area has just begun to flourish and I am in on the ground floor so to speak.  Thanks to I-99 nearing completion! (North to South corridor)  And all of this will lead to a request for permission to post a poll type question on Lzd. for an answer I need.  But that will be a couple of weeks down the line. If it permission is granted me, I hope you will all put in your  :2cents: worth!  Oh and as phase three nears, I will consider Free Wi-Fi too!  Hope this answers your questions,  if not fire away!

Oh my!  How did I miss this exciting news?!

What a dandy business plan!  Hummm...only 137?  I can't imagine living in a town that size   Having that resort as well as I-99 nearby is perfect!

You must be exhausted and energized all in the same breath as your head hits the pillow at night

QuoteMenu:  Down Home Cooking

"If you build it,  they will come."

There is a restaurant with down home cooking that is here, but waay across town.  I make the trek as often as I can.  Love it!  Appreciate it not only for the good taste, but the extra hard work it takes to make in a restaurant setting.

Oh, since Corrine brought up air freight...and you mentioned desserts.  Any chance there is some bread pudding with southern praline pecan sauce on the menu?

Love Bread Puddin' and make a very fine one, not knowing too much about Praline Sauce though?  Love Pralines and Cream from Baskin Robbins!  I make a To Die For Pecan Pie though!

Any good amusement parks nearby? We have two good amusement parks.  One is about 12 mins.(Lakemont) from here and the other 30mins(Delgrosso's).  Both via I-99!

Aaron, upon checking you map, I find it is VERY dated!  The area looks nothing like that.  Had trouble finding it myself.  The map must be prior to 1990 or so?!  We are located about 70 feet right of your red marker! It is the large light colored roof!
