Aaron, upon checking you map, I find it is VERY dated!  The area looks nothing like that.  Had trouble finding it myself.  The map must be prior to 1990 or so?!

The map image is from the US Geological Survey (http://www.usgs.gov/).  While I don't know anything for certain, I would guess that it's been a while since a satellite flew over you and took pictures, and of course that image would need releasing for public use.

For my own curiosity, I looked at my parents' house to see what's up with that, as that image was also old, but it looks like now the image is fairly recent, and it's in color now.  Perhaps soon a newer image will go up for you?  My crystal ball's out for repair, so can't say. ;)

How is it going?  Do you have an opening date yet?

Nah, we are maybe looking at 6 more weeks of RED Tape.  Ho Hum.  I am a terrible waiter.

Red tape and then you open the doors?  Or red tape and then you finish construction, hiring, etc.?

Red Tape we open the doors!  Construction complete, people know they are hired. The floor tiles for the bar area have been finally chosen, the lights are in transit.  Those were the last two things I couldn't decided on.  The tiles I like, the lights I settled on.  Cause the ones I like... we could not afford.  I had 13 light fixtures to choose and 4 fans to coordinate.

So, as a jump on the ski season, you could very well be serving lunch to the day-after-Thanksgiving shoppers!!!

Should add that after Harrisburg moves, then I will wait for our local Health Dept. in their own good time.  I also have been taking my Managerial Food Safety Certification classes and will take the exam on 10/26,  then I have my RAMP Certification class to finish and take that exam on 10/17.

HOPEFULLY by then!!!!!!!!!!  But if PDA doesn't like something I will have to make changes to suit.  They supply my Operating Permit and License to Serve Food.

How did the exam go?  Have you opened?  Any pictures of the restaurant?

Niecarrah

How strange you should ask.  I was going to make the announcement today, proving you CAN teach an old dog new tricks!!  I got a 100% on my exam!!!!!!!!!!  Seventy percent was needed to pass, and I actually scored 70% on the pretest at the beginning of the course. But learning all the bacterias, their causes & cures and the signs to look for, then the viruses, and the fungi, bothered me.  No not open yet, still awaiting the rusty wheels of Harrisburg(state capitol)!!  Now my next exam course will be undertaken,  RAMP Certification!  I will probably begin on Mon. or Tues. unless I get into the Tin ordering which is possible.  We needed to replace about 12' X 4' section of our tin ceiling and crown work.  Yadda, yadda...
