Since I value your opinion I would like those of you that have a free moment to take a look at my website and tell me HONESTLY what is ok, good, bad, needs work, changes etc.

I formerly had it set up for an information portal for Conventions that I arranged, I was event coordinator.
Now I am re-doing it a full blown remodel to be basically a link site for things of interest to me, and also a place I can send people to for good links for help with their pc issues.

One of the main things I want to know is should there be info about me on it at all and did I put too much info about me on it? I tried to keep it very general, but debated how much?

There is music on the first page only, I did not want to have music be the focus but I like a fun tune. Good or bad?

some of the pages are still blank, it is most definitely a work in progress and may never be complete!

So if you have time and can take a peek please be honest that is what I need, opinions of other people not just my family.

Here is the link Home  :hallo:

Thank you very much! :thanks:

ok, here's my opinion, but whadda i know?

text should contrast background:
black print with minimal use of red ink on white pages has worked for centuries.

[bgcolor=#ffb000]difficult[/bgcolor]
easy

text should be large enough to be legible, not so large to overcome the content.
one font (two max) - simple - arial, times new roman, helvetica, etc.,

backgrounds underneath text - nope.

--those rules can be bent somewhat if you are already earning 5 or 6 figures as a graphics artist.

as obnoxious and ubiquitous as blue is, most ppl like blue.  green is a far distant 2nd (12% ?) favorite.
black is serious.  seriously.  great for anime, goth, the matrix or the diablo iii site...

music on a page unrequested, prolly not a good idea.
if music you must, put it on a page for music and linky to it.

animated gifs draw attention away from whatever else is on the page.
animation / video is best served up on a page with no other content...

i'd drop the 3 vertical lines allowing the background to continue off the page...
or, on left 1 color (as you've done) middle, another, and right another.

the dog looks hungry, the cat wary...

well... you asked...    :o

thanks Temmu yes I did ask and that is what I want real honest opinions.
I have vision problems and I end up using big fonts so I can read them easier but not always good for everyone.

I was thinking the black background might be too much with the colors, that is how it had been previously for the events thing and they liked it but now for this I will likely change it up.

Well unfortunately the cat has passed away, I had him for 20 wonderful years but he fell to the dreaded kidney failure, I did daily Iv's on him for a year, he fought the hard battle.
The Dog is growing still and he is 9 yrs old LOL They were best buddies till the end.

Those 3 vertical lines are part of how that format is set up and I have found no way to change that so I am stuck with that.

Thanks!!
