does anyone know how to open a .PART file?
simple question.
we need a simple question thread!!!

it tells me that windows cannot open the specified file...


i dunno if its a registry thing or if i simply am missing the right software

a ".part" file is a partial download file. Most download managers will download segments of a file and hold them as ".part" files until the download is complete at which point they are combined to form the requested download. This is an indication that your download failed and the likely causes are a loss of internet connection or an interruption of that connection by a firewall or similar. I have seen this happen with the latest version of ZoneAlarm (version 8.x).

You will not be able to open the .part file. Try downloading the target again.

Do you use Go!Zilla?  It might also be from Firefox, which stores partially downloaded files and renames them into the correct file type when the download is finished.

Sometimes PART files will be resumed at a later time using the same program that started the download.

i used firefox for the download.
ha ha i just looked and you guys were totally right, the download finished and is now accessible!
