I have had great success with all the FixIt and WinFix tools in many situations.

I am very happy to have tools of this nature to help with certain types of issues.

Microsoft Fix It has been deprecated and replaced by Microsoft easy fix solutions:  https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2970908.  It includes a number of packages that can be downloaded to diagnose and fix various issues.  Note, however, that .diagcab solutions cannot be run on Windows Vista and Windows XP.  Thus, those fixes will only work on Windows 7 and later versions of the OS.  The .msi fixes do not have an OS restriction.
