Well allow me to throw some shout outs to ALL my fellow LS forums soldiers, some of whom are still in these trenches over the years.

Fantastic to see you all maintaining the battle on the front lines  :goodie:

Ahh. Fonzie. He's my hero! I love that guy.

Hi Donna, Happy Days, indeed they were. No cable TV, cars used carburetors, and KFC still used the Colonel's original recipe. Ahhh, but I digress.

Here's a true story you might enjoy. In an age before the dawn of time, I briefly had a job delivering balloon bouquets (usually attached to a bottle of champagne or Swiss chocolates) in Hollywood and greater LA. It was all the rage back then, as girlfriends & wives thought it a neat way to send a birthday or anniversary wish to their significant other -- or vice versa. I delivered bouquets to Stewart Copeland (drummer for The Police) and Ed McMahon (Johnny Carson sidekick - RIP), just to name a few.

Anyway, one day Henry Winkler's wife calls and wants a bouquet delivered to him at a house in Pasadena where he was directing some filming. I thought "Coooool!! I'm gonna now meet The Fonz!"

I arrive at the house with the delivery van and unload the big bouquet attached to a bottle of something expensive (I forget what), and start walking up the driveway towards the house, weaving my way through the film production trucks, etc. Suddenly a young production assistant runs up to me and says "Whoa, wait. Who are you? Who are those balloons for?" I said "They're for Hank!" He said "Who?" I said "THE FONZ!" He quickly says "No no no! Nobody calls him Hank, and certainly not The Fonz! I'll give them to him!" I said "Nope! His wife wants me to give them to him directly." (yes, I was lying!) Suddenly, out walks Henry Winkler onto the front porch and I walked up to him, and while handing him the balloons I said "Hi Hank, these are from The Mrs! Happy Anniversary."

He had a big chuckle and a huge smile, and gave me a big thanks and a handshake (but no tip! ). Such a nice and genuine guy, unlike many other people in Tinseltown. As I walked away, I felt so cool that I had met The Fonz, and I gave the production assistant -- who was now visibly unhappy about the whole ordeal -- a BIG smile and a wink.

OK, I better get back in the delivery van now and take off so that Temmu will have room to say hello.

Now that is a BIG ayyyy....ahhhh from the Fonz!

Guess you showed that production assistant that just being yourself is the best way to approach Hollywood Royalty.

Ayyyy! Ahhhh!

Whenever he does get around to it here's one on the EASTER. I may have to change my user name to Gullible though since I fallen victim first time ever to CRYTOWALL crapware even with an AV on board  :Hammys pint:

Yes. Or at least, it was MY way of approaching them. (ahaha )
One night, I was at the Hollywood Athletic Club, a combo bar/grill pool hall. In walks Clint Eastwood with a blonde companion. Having grown up on "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly" -- not too mention ALL the Dirty Harry flicks -- I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to quickly stand up and approach him for a handshake and to tell him some flattering kind words. Like The Fonz, Clint is also a true gentleman.

The next poster? Maybe DonnaB! (but I could be wrong )
