Pls excuse my ignorance, but what are these "spiders" I see logged on with me every time I come to Landzdown? Are they ripping off my identity, computer info, passwords?

I truly DO trust this wonderful community to protect me, but I'm just puzzled...

Regards,
Shax

Shax,

MSN spider, Google spider, Yahoo spider ETC  are the search engines as they use automated software programs that crawl the web.
These programs are called "crawlers" or "spiders" they go from link to link storing the text and the keywords from the pages in a database.
Then when you type a word in to your search engine you are givern pleanty of options to choose from one such spider / bot is Google spider/Googlebot it is the name of Google's spider software.
These spider/Bot's do not steal identitys / passwards.
