greets.

anyone know of a good read on windows 7 security?
i'm not talking about firewalls, av, anti-malware or hosts file.

but the os its self

further.
any good reads on the task scheduler?
funky, it is.
even logged on as local administrator,
it's difficult to schedule a task to run.

the scheduler at random will say the local admin does not have rights to read its logs.
yes, i've granted myself (local admin) log on as a batch, log on as the system.

good reads on those 2 topics, anyone?

thanks.

For Windows 7 security topics, the Microsoft Springboard Series has articles and videos at Windows Client Security and Control.  Select the Windows 7 topics from here: Windows Security - 7, Vista, XP | Group Policy, UAC, IE | TechNet.  Also see Windows 7 Security Enhancements.

I don't believe this is as helpful for Task Scheduler:  Group Policy Preferences.  Perhaps this tutorial would be helpful:
