In latest 28.0.2013 "Automatically run Winpatrol when computer starts" option is broken here. I can't uncheck it correctly, because it doesn't maintain the new setting when I restart the program.

Windows 7 x64 ultimate SP1.

I can confirm this. I have Winpatrol Plus on four computer but only tried this on one. I unchecked the run when windows starts and restarted the computer. The Winpatrol icon was NOT in the notification tray, opened the GUI and the checkmark had put itself back in, restarted the computer and Winpatrol icon back in the notification tray. So it seems to work once but then puts itself back so that Winpatrol runs at startup. Looks like a bug. Hope this helps, sly

Thank you, Max_ita and Sly for your reports.  I forwarded a link to this topic to Bill Pytlovany.

Here, merely closing and re-opening the UI puts the checkmark back in "Automatically run WinPatrol when computer starts." The last time this happened, a few versions ago, we were able to disable WinPatrol's autostarting via Autoruns. This time, WinPatrol re-enables itself as soon as Autoruns disables it.

Looks like Bill got this fixed with the release of version 28.1.2013.  Please let us know if you have any problems.

Just some typos to notice (see attachment).
It should be instead:
This program will only start for current user.
