Mozilla sent Firefox Version 33.0 to the release channel.  The update does includes three Critical, four High and two moderate security updates.

To get the update now, select "Help" from the Firefox menu at the upper left of the browser window, then pick "About Firefox."  Mac users need to select "About Firefox" from the Firefox menu.

When translations are complete, Fully Localized Versions will be available.

Codec disabled - we'll see if it breaks anything - you might not want to do this at home.

To make the same change, go to Add-ons > Plugins and select "Never Activate" for the OpenH264 Video Code.  While you're on the plugins page, it wouldn't hurt to click the link at the top of the page to "Check to see if your plugins are up to date".

Plug-ins are current less the OpenH264 which I'm finding to be extraneous (you might not want to do this at home) - which is disabled. No issues rendering any video playback that I've encountered as of yet.

Firefox 33.0.2: Fixed a startup crash with some combination of hardware and drivers

h/t siljaline:  Also included is one critical security update -- although at this point it is mislabeled as being fixed in 33.0.3, Security Advisories for Firefox.

Not to get everyone more confused, siljaline pointed me to the fancy new Security Advisories page with the big red heading.  I'm the one who misread the update number.
