Hi, Panos.

Had you "reserved" Windows 10?

You may want to take a look at KB 3080351, How to manage Windows 10 notification and upgrade options as well as this article at The Windows Club:  Get Windows 10 app icon is missing or not showing in taskbar

Hi, Corrine.

Yes, I made my reservation, when the icon appeared on the task bar. But some days after it disappeared. I thought that this is normal, till I saw the icon on the task bar of my nephew's computer. I search for the update KB3035583 in Control Panel but I didn't find it. I ran the command     dism /online /get-packages | findstr 3035583, mentioned in the article above, and I got the Package Identity as appears on the image, with one exception: the numbers at the end (6.1.1.29).  I didn't made the other step with the notepad, because I wanted to tell you first.

As far as I can tell, I believe that the 6.1.1.29 is for Windows 7 and 6.3.1.29 is for Windows 8.1.

There is also a fairly long topic with an update provided by Susan Bradley (trusted) and an additional update provided by Barb Bowman (trusted) for non-English language systems.  See I want to reserve my free copy of Windows 10, but I don't see - Microsoft Community

Ok, so the last thing I have to do is the script with notepad. The fact is that I reserved Windows 10, when the icon first appear. I don't know.

P.S. I started getting angry with my computer, because small things there and there create a strange behavior! I have a leg in the plaster for more than a month now, with everyday temperature almost 40 degrees C (yes, this is our summer), and must have this stupid thing makes its own! I think I will download something ...really bad to completely break it!  :Win73:

No Windows 10 for me.

I ran the command from the notepad script. It took 40 minutes till now, with no result.

I have genuine Windows 7, I have Installed KB2952664 and KB3035583, I made my reservation when the icon appeared in the taskbar.
Now, no icon in the taskbar, and nothing about Windows 10.

Be patient.
Not everyone is getting the update even letting computers on for 24 hours.

You might still get it offered to you.

If you don't want to wait, you can do an official download from here. You can choose to download and do a in place upgrade, usb install or DVD installer. This worked just like the WIN 8 original upgrades.

You can choose to wait for the Windows update server, which is guaranteed to be working overtime right now. I was wrong when I stated you had to wait for the update download. The install is a official install by using either method.

This is what I get from Eset (see attachment). But when I go to the system updates, no Upgrade to Windows 10 Home exists. What can be the reason?

What is the exact model of your computer?

Dell hasn't tested that model yet for compatibility.  I suspect the delay is for Intel drivers.

QuoteUsers with hardware that did not have problems got the update sooner and users with hardware that has known compatibility problems with Windows 10 are getting it when they are confident the problems are resolved. Many people who aren’t getting the notification are forcing their computer to 10 when it’s really not ready for it and are thus having problems.

It would have been better if MS had explained why some people get the update immediately while others are still waiting!

BTW, have you installed all of the updates from the screen capture and why are you using ESET to check?
