Pete!

Could this be considered equivalent to Malwarebytes Anti-Malware?
If so, how does it compare?

Reason for asking.... Updating the MBAM database is a problem on dialup.

I've only used Malwarebytes on my computer, mainly because I know so many of the people involved with the program.  However, both SUPERAntiSpyware and Emsisoft Anti-Malware have free versions available and also have a good reputation.

Their servers may be less dialup friendly than MBAM. Downloading the software is a problem.

The first time I tried to download SUPERAntiSpyware, it aborted twice, and ended with a corrupted file.
The second time, the download seemed to go smoothly, but the file was corrupted again.

Emsisoft Anti-Malware looks to be an 8 to 9 hour download.
I'll try again tomorrow, but I suspect I'll probably stay with MBAM.
