"Start" button not working, Windows 10

When I LEFT click the start button, nothing comes up.  RIGHT clicking gives me some options in a black window--shut down, file explorer, settings, etc.

Someone else was using the computer this weekend and might have done an update, not sure.

Hi, Daisy.

The first thing I would suggest is to restart the computer.  Right-click the Windows key and where it shows "Shut down or sign out", mouse over the arrow and select "Restart".

Well, that did it!!!

I had turned it off last night and on again this morning, which didn't help, but the restart did.

You're very welcome.  Glad that was an easy fix.

The old saying for Windows 95 that it required three restarts to fix a problem.  Perhaps Windows 10 needs two restarts.  :)
