Adobe has released an optional hotfix patch for Acrobat and Acrobat Reader that addresses some important bug fixes for Adobe Acrobat DC and Reader.

Update or Complete Download

Reader DC and Acrobat DC were updated to version 23.003.20244 for Windows.  Updates should become available via the internal updater or checks can be manually activated by choosing Help/Check for Updates.

Reader DC and other versions are available here: https://get.adobe.com/reader/

Note: UNcheck any pre-checked additional options presented with the update. They are not part of the software update and are completely optional.

Apparently, Adobe is phasing-in "the new Adobe experience" since May... SOME users might receive (and notice) this.   For more information/details, see https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/new-acrobat-experience.html

Among other things, the Menu bar across the top is being replaced with a "hamburger" Menu button.   If you wish to return to the old/customary "experience", click on the hamburger Menu button, and select "Disable new Acrobat Reader", and confirm your desire to restart Reader.

If you wish to try out (or re-enable) the "new" experience, click on VIEW, and select "Enable new Acrobat Reader", and confirm your desire to restart Reader.

I'm glad I haven't needed Adobe Reader for a long time. Microsoft Edge is great for reading PDFs and text can be copy/pasted from them too.
