Hi Mary Ann.

Although OneLaunch is considered safe, there are drawbacks. For information regarding the drawbacks, I suggest you read the article linked below.  In addition, when you need a user manual, the best option is to search for the specific manual that matches the product you have, regardless of whether it is computer related or some device/appliance in your home.

In the meantime, I suggest you uninstall OneLaunch from your computer and then do a fresh scan MBAM scan, allowing it to remove the PUP if any parts of it remain.

Reference article: What is OneLaunch used for? Is it safe or malware?

Note: I've deleted your duplicate post regarding the MBAM scan results.

OneLaunch isn't showing up in my apps or anywhere else I looked.

Corrine

In that case, run Malwarebytes again and select it for removal.

Is quarantine the same as removal? removal isn't an option.

Corrine

Sorry, yes, please allow Malwarebytes to quarantine it.

I quarantined it. Here's the report.

Hi, Mary Ann.

Malwarebytes has quarantined OneLaunch from your DownLoads folder, which does make it appear that you downloaded something since DR M finished cleaning your computer.  Do you remember what you downloaded?

I've been playing solitaire online, but I don't think that it needed to be downloaded. I don't remember downloading anything since we cleaned it up. Is there any way to find out?

Corrine

In going back through your topic, I saw that it was Solitaire that had resulted in OneLaunch being installed. I suggest that after you play Solitaire you run a Malwarebytes scan and allow it to quarantine it if it is found again.

Was on Facebook and got another huge pop up that said that I shouldn't shut down my computer, it was infected with a virus and had a phone number to call pretending to be Microsoft. Needless to say that I didn't fall for it again but I had to use ctrl alt delete to shut down. I did a MBAM scan ans nothing was  detected. Should I do anything else?
