Just trying to stay cool! Thank goodness for air conditioning. The actual temps have been over 100 degrees F (38 degrees C) for several days.
Chugging coffee and computing!

I was in Philadelphia watching the France v Paraguay "game" (in quotes because the Paraguayan horseplay and odd refereeing made large sections unwatchable) ... it was fairly brutal in the sun, although there was a bit of a breeze.

plodr, the 38C here it's a good temperature for summer. We have ahead temperatures which can reach 45C!

The diving and the fouling from that Paraguayan team was frankly disgraceful and the referee was totaly appalling I'd be surprised if he gets to referee for fifa again Bill.

Mbappe stayed cool throughout as Paraguay tried to mess with him and ref did nothing to stop the dirty play. Zero cards for Paraguay? Off ball incidents were unaddressed. Michael Oliver gave six yellows in his first half to calm things down.

Colina may want fewer cards but by this stage the game within the game can overtake the game itself.

The American ref in the Brazil v Norway game today missed a similar clear and obvious penalty... agree that VAR having to point out the missed foul is not going to help his future chances.

The King of Norway called FIFA asking for the offside call at 2" to be reversed. Caller ID so Infantino let it go to voicemail.

I wonder if the United Kingdom will appeal the red card? This is going to get messy given the political interference that's is  supposed  to have been taking place.

Fifa are total joke with this go's against their own rules regarding political interference from any government in particular sporting decisions.
