Most of you know I got started at Freedomlist and still spend a considerable amount of time there.  One night as I was updating AAW, I spotted a link about "The Eye" and listened to a recording by Aaron.  While there, I clicked on a link to the support forums.  Here I'd been using AAW since Steve Gibson gave up updating his program and recommended AAW but I had no idea there was a support site for the software.  I almost didn't stay because one look at those logs had my head spinning (I've never had more than a tracking cookie or two).  Well, instead, I went to the LavaLounge and got to know the warm and friendly folks there.  I still remember Mamabear's warm welcome there.

My courage grew and I ventured out to the Windows forum.  Eventually, peeks at the logs started to make sense.  Mitch encouraged me and the next thing I knew, I was on the team with Canuk and Winchester73 responding to my pleas to check my posts.  I never would have made it without them (and still rely on Winchester fo rhis guidance).  I was so afraid I would turn someone's machine to a large paperweight.  IAMSKINZ had faith in me.  I knew I was ok when AAPlus posted in a thread that I was helping in and he told me I was doing a great job.  I'm afraid I'll leave someone out so will just post {{{HUGS}}} to all the members of the LandzDown Team.

To be honest, I am still in a state of shock and rather overwhelmed by it all.  Thank you, my friends.

Impressive.  All I knew of "MVP" after someone's name was to sit up and listen... so given this news, I thought I'd check out the criteria and this is what I found at Microsoft:

"What Is A Microsoft MVP?

MVP Selection Criteria - Finding the Ideal MVP Candidate
MVPs are a diverse group of individuals that have two things in common: great expertise in one or more Microsoft products, and a willingness to voluntarily share their expertise, and their experiences, with peers. While there are no specific requirements placed on MVPs level of education, background, or current employment situation, there are 9 basic characteristics Microsoft has identified that typify the ideal Microsoft MVP. A person need not demonstrate each of these qualities, but a good combination of them is necessary to warrant Microsoft MVP status.

1. Active Participation in a Microsoft Online Community
2. Answer More Questions Than They Ask
3. Outstanding Online Community Involvement
4. High Volume of Accurate Answers
5. Broad Knowledge in a Field, Product, or Development Discipline
6. Recognized Expert or ??Elders?? in a Field or Particular Product
7. Neutral to Positive Attitude Toward Microsoft
8. Information Services Advocate
9. Good Customer Service Skills and Attitude

In general, anyone being considered for the Microsoft MVP award will have at least 4 out of the 9 criteria. It is important to note that this is a target and not a standard. Ultimately, Microsoft MVP candidates that demonstrate and support the most amazing efforts within the community...Due primarily to MS strategy, budget and program integrity, not all nominees will be awarded Microsoft MVP status. That said, nominees most likely to be Awarded demonstrate strength in ALL 9 criteria."

Still working on my BBCoding and quoting thing, so this was just cut & pasted from the site, and I don't have alot of history here in this forum or with Corrine, but what little I have, I can say I am IMPRESSED!
I can totally see why you were chosen after I read that criteria!
