There is another new member of the LzD Folding@home team, ssherjj, who posted at Sysnative that she joined. Sherry is aWindows Insider MVP and a member of both LzD and Sysnative!

Sorry about Corrine. The program is running at medium right now. So it is all working as planned...

Even though you indicated it is working as planned, I'm still not seeing your name.  Perhaps Aaron  or one of the other members of the team will know why.

Does anyone know how I can tell F@H to use more resources than when the slider is at full?

Hi axe0,

I am not sure...maybe it depends on ones CPU resources? I moved the bar to medium and had to put it back to Light because my CPU temps were at 75 C.

Hi Ssherjj,

I'm mainly running the GPU and at full it's around 40% usage which it can easily handle.

Well that sounds good...but you're saying that this program runs on other resources as well?

My GPU use is only 47 C...so that is good!

Thank you Corrine, I am on the list now. Maybe I just needed to do a Folding scan for awhile to complete one phase?

Oops I just scanned the post late last night and I have just read this part ...by Aaron..

Folding@home is a distributed computing project. Folks voluntarily donate hardware (computer processor and/or graphics card processor) to taking on parts of projects related to particular protein studies. These project pieces, called Work Units, are what are handed out to volunteers. For example, I have three graphics cards and two CPUs working on....

F@H runs on both the CPU and GPU here, GPU constantly when the computer is on and CPU when idle. When I am working I set the slider to full, and I would like to tell F@H to make more use of the GPU, i.e. use extra from the GPU on top of the slider. I am wondering if that is possible. I don't expect it to be possible, but since the GPU's power is <50% when F@H is using it at full I am hoping to somehow be able to configure F@H in such a way that it could use more of the GPU.

I know there are "flags" you can mess with but I've always just left it default.
