Here you go plenty more of it when you need it.
when the Forum was being set up SpyDie asked if I would run the Bar and being of the old Lavasoft Team there was not a chance I was not going to accept as we are "Stronger than the past, united in our goal"

GR@PH;<'S
press Enter then have a Brandy then if the problem is still there have another Brandy
Q: does it work
A: It does seem to for a few hours at least.

Still don't remember how I found this place....still trying to escape this madness :tease:
Beta. Software undergoes beta testing shortly before it's released. Beta is Latin for 'still doesn't work.'

Now this is gonna be alittle long, but timely. I'm glad you asked this mitch, as I am curious how other members found LzD.
For me, as family is scattered all over the US, I have been relentless about trying to get everyone online for ongoing communication.  Well, one got the Sasser worm w/in 20 mins of being online for the first time (ended up returning the computer  :hysterical:)
But my online search on Sasser for some reason led me to Spybot forums and after reading multiple posts there...picked up that HJT experts were at a forum callled LzD.  Didn't know what HiJackThis was, but after I came over here to have a look, decided this would be the FIRST FORUM I would join and post in for help.  And I'M STILL HERE!
Now had I have known you all weren't even a year old yet...dunno...but the stuff I was reading from the get go didn't seem like a bunch of newbies.

Status on the fam-damily:
The one that returned the puter was talked into another, and proceeded to get multiple infections shortly after and was helped by Normmork with the patience of Job
A second member was infected and was helped by P3-450 got re-infected and was helped by Die Hard
A third member got Virtumundo and was helped by Die Hard
And a forth member decided to disconnect from the internet all together watching all this     :hysterical:

I have read every post since trying to learn as much as I can to be alittle more proactive with the family computers and I've learned so much from ALL YOU PPL AT LZD, which I've passed onto them, and they are surfing infection free (well one might be back soon :hysterical:)

But back to finding Landzdown...I sure wasn't sure what I was doing joining a forum and posting here...so I thot I'd take the direct approach.  Wasn't long til I stumble on the Welcome forum (of course this was after multiple ppl had already posted a welcome...and I think...this is where I can ask some questions.
Get aload of my first questions here:
Quote from: ripley
Thanks for the welcome wishes!  Have a few questions...don't know where to post them concerning interactions w/ forum.
Thanks for putting up w/ a FEW more of THOSE questions!

How do you subscribe to the Udates & Alerts section for the software that I have?
Thank goodness for the Updates notifications I get now!

If you post a HijackThis log, how long should I expect before I get a response?
A little bossey wouldn't ya say? But these are the questions that come outta the mouths of babes, not knowing how to communicate in your world yet.
To all who have been SO HELPFUL and patient here at LzD  :thanks:

True, LandzDown Forum is only a year old.  However this Team (and that includes a number of friends like Mitch, Goatie, Hayc59, and some others) have been together for many years.

I know this NOW!...the "family" that you all preserved over the years...something I came to learn over time, led me to think, even back then...was a safe place to venture to for computer help and information.  :gwave: :gwave: :gwave:

I was quite happily minding my own business after the fall of the Lavasoft Support forums when I was attacked from behind, trussed up and bundled into a sack where I blacked out  :smash:. When I came to I was here. The last thing that I remember before I passed out was a very strong scent of roses  :rose:
I can't think why......

ETR, it wasn't a sack and what you're remembering is the rose-scented curtains that we used.  :rose:

<Hey, folks, he thought we'd let him escape.  No way.  The Team that IAMSKINZ put together stays together.>

I had a problem and was recommended to Lanzdown because they were understanding of newbies questions. By the time I did eventually get here the problem had been fixed but thought I would join anyway.   Imagine my surprise when I got a Welcome post....simple but oh so effective -made me want to continue visiting.

Then........GR@PH;<'S and ripley started giving me a hard time so just had to stay :-)))
