It isn't always Nutty Buddy Ice cream topping on the kitchen floor...it very well could be chicken poop. Therefore...do not eat "things" off of your kitchen floor; it isn't always as clean as you think it is.

with this one!  I could not stop laughing when I read this!

Just got back from a work mtg, kinda on the serious side, and during one of the pauses of silence....

this post of JDC's popped into my mind and here I go

I apologized profusely...and not knowing how to explain, and added...

"Sorry, it was something I ate"  :hysterical:

I know this belongs in Drinks Stash, but here's a drink to consider for the occasion.

Opera House Special (a real drink btw)

1 shot Tequila
1 shot Gin
1 shot White rum
1 shot Vodka
1 part Pineapple
1 part Orange
1 part Sour Mix

Now for those that aren't into opera, and you have occasion to get dragged to one,
mix the above drink, comsume it one hour before the opening act I...
and you might just enjoy it!  :hysterical:

ramblinrose...

I am sorry to hear about your departed canine, as with all of us here at LandZdown, one members loss is a loss to all...
It is and will always be sad to have lost a loved one, but remember that the departed will always live on and bring strength to all that was close and even to those as us who know you and care for all that is yours.

Tell us something about yourself.

I know I already said something about myself, but it's A PARTY!  So here's some more about myself, (and it might take a few  posts ) cuz there are always ppl at parties that have a story to tell...

I have 3 stages of one particular part of my life to share.

STAGE 1

OK, way back when, I'm almost finishing up college, and an annual tradition starts.  I'm younger, stronger, and caraazier...those stories are always longer  :D

I'm kindofa 4 star hotel gal at heart, even if I don't always have the  :2cents: :2cents: for one.  But I do love nature, and camping is the way to go for that.
We have an area in the northern part of my state that butts up to the Canada border called the BWCA/Boundary Waters Canoe Area.  Restricted to non-motorized vehicles/boats...is one of the protected areas of our planet, like other's around the globe, that are spectacular to experience

Slap a backpack on, throw your canoe over your shoulders, and you are hiking into the wilderness, portaging from land mass to land mass, paddling your way in between thru a series of many small lakes, with 10 good friends for many years in a row.

I am a 5ft 4 (short) 100lb (lightweight) person, and when it came to returning to the canoe after hiking a bit, you remove your back pack and place it toward the center of the canoe (don't want it to tip.)

For me, being the brawny person that I am  it was easier to start a pendulum swing with the pack, and let it drop carefully into the canoe.  That worked for me!

Story continues.  I'm on the first of many trips to come, at the edge of the water, swinging my pack, as we had just place our canoes back in the water, on the 6th portage.  Unbeknown to me at as to what a bog is, or that I am standing on one...

(bog=Sphagnum moss grows out from the edge of the bog in tangled mats strong enough to support trees, shrubs, and even people...barely. Jump up and down on a quaking bog and trees 25 feet away bounce along with you. Jump too hard and your leg may plunge through into the brown water below.  http://octopus.gma.org/katahdin/bog.html )

and on my last pendulum swing up with the backpack, the "bog" gives way  and I find myself submersed under 6 ft of water!!!!   :hysterical: :hysterical:
There IS something special about being out in nature.
