Seattle AIDS Walk 2009 - I'm ready to walk!
« on: September 06, 2009, 05:49:14 PM »
September brings back the rain, but it's a perfect time to have a walk about town. ;)

On Saturday the 26th, a little under 3 weeks from now, Lifelong AIDS Alliance hosts its annual Seattle AIDS Walk, which I walked in the last two years.  And just like the last few years, I'm again matching donations, up to the first $750, which Microsoft will then match.

http://www.lifelongevents.org/goto/ahulett is the link this year.

And to have a bit of fun, rather than the first person getting their name on the sign, I'll wait two weeks (until Saturday the 19th - a week before), put everyone's name in a random list and then use a random number generator (likely an online one) to choose.

As always, thank you for helping me help those with HIV/AIDS.  And for those that remember how short the walk was the last few years, this year, it's longer. ;)

My thanks to the three of you! :) I need to get matching data in their systems, which I'll do in the next day or two here.

I've matched everything through so far, and unbelievably, just a few days in, $655 from everyone plus $655 from me and $655 from Microsoft means $1,965 for LLAA!  :D  And while there's still lots of time to go, I'm currently 4th in the top walkers list, and Microsoft in 6th of the top teams list.

Again my thanks to everyone that contributed, and for those that aren't able to, know that I'm glad you're thinking of me and my passion in helping those living with HIV/AIDS.  While I'm over the $1,500 goal I entered on the page (that's $500 times three), I'm still matching up to the first $750 (and who knows, maybe I'll go higher this year) and you're welcome to visit http://www.lifelongevents.org/goto/ahulett to both contribute and to see how I'm doing.

Thanks again everyone,
Aaron

Sorry, but as it is to be decided by random number I thought that I would take a more considered approach this year  :breakkie:

Aaron,

I have rounded up your total, I hope that that is ok  Of course, this means that as well as the Winchester Rose and Hammy's pint you will have to complete this year's walk whilst wearing a horned helmet!

Come on you Landzdowners, we need to raise another $500 to get Aaron back into the top ten individual fund raisers. If he has helped you with a computer problem now is the time to turn out your pockets and find a dollar amongst all that lint and old washers!

In fact, if any of the experts have provided assistance to you, show your appreciation by sponsoring Aaron!
