Smileys
« on: April 19, 2008, 09:44:43 AM »
If anyone has any specific smiley they would like added, post it here.

I ask because the smiley set we have had could do with a bit of updating I guess, new ones added, older ones removed.

I am impressed with 2 smiley authors that can create a smiley small enough for forums not to be too distracting, but have "life"...expression...in that tiny conglomeration of pixels: Fool's and Aiwan's

Their works are already hosted at their sites, and by clicking on the smiley, you are welcome to use the "code" to paste them into this thread.

Fool's smiley site

Aiwan's smiley site

Of note, Aiwan has associated with another small group of smiley authors on a regular basis, and is hosting their work as well, listed in his link above.  They are all distinctively "kolobok" style.
They also decided adding a group of "mini" ones might be convenient for regular forum use...might want to check those out.

I am not sure exactly what SpyDie is looking for, and I have over 8k on my machine  :tease: but there are many other smiley sites, authors, and choices to consider.

Corrine, have you still got that one you put in Winchester73's BDay thread?  It cracked me up!

I suspect #11 would be a hit here as well, that is if GR@PH;<'S can keep the beer keg filled.

BigTuc, yup that was the one I remember  the original seems a bit big, and when reduced, got a wee bit small.  Actually, it looks like a fun one for Lena  :D

So which ones would be replaced?

These guys >  :drink1:  prolly have a better counterparts   Here's  the original sized one of the mini posted

This guy >  :stupid: Possible changes >

and another "sign" one

I know we enjoy "pat" >  :Pat:  Possible changes >

I forgot these in the initial list:

SpyDie, too many?  Need more feedback?  Given the shyness of members to respond, I have a feeling they would be happy with whatever choices you make.
Otherwise, Ripley can go on, and on, and on, as you know

I will admit that I have gotten into the habit of using the Smiley Xtra add-on for most of my smileys.  Here are a few that I use most often that are not already here:

Nope, :Pat: stays.  Its a carryover from the "old days" and was added for my big brother at a former location.  I wouldn't be adverse to adding an additional choice though. :rose:

Hi :)
I have found a French site with alot of smileys that you can use here in forum and with Windows Live Messenger as well. The site is clean and there are no hidden surprises.
