GEEK Gifts
« on: December 18, 2006, 03:03:01 PM »
It's getting late pll, but while reading about MVP Hosts/IE Spy-Ad I followed a link to
LangaList, and ended up getting a One year subscription for LangaList Plus for $13.50.

Don't have to worry about it getting there in time for Christmas, plus he has this
handy customizable gift note that gets sent to the recipient's mailbox.

           But wait!

There's a few more options I found...

...this other site I was looking at had a few more practical ideas...like these

                   slippers

So what's so geeky about these slippers, other than how they look, you ask?

Take a look!  USB connection built right into them there slippers!

The description:
Maybe when you're working in an air-conditioned room or in the winter time.
Then the USB Heating Slippers may suits your need.
It has a warmer pad inside. Once you plug it in the USB port, your feet will get warm.
It supports Windows, Macintosh, PlayStation, Xbox ... etc, and do a great job de-frosting your feet.
Great for those who live in cold places.

BUT! if you aren't into keeping your tootsies warm,
their other "hot" item is a

USB MISSILE LAUNCHER...yup, fires 3 foam missiles right from your computer

A picture alone doesn't do it justice, cuz the link has a short video of it in action and it's missile launching sound effects.
They *say* it "Shoots up to 20 feet at a extremely fast rate."

I can think of a few uses for it myself

Any one else find some good ones for Christmas?

Here's one I couldn't resist for my teenage grandaughter -- a lime green, soft, fuzzy pillow (picture a neck pillow) with a speaker in one end and a pocket with connector on the other end to hold her iPod. I can picture her talking to her friends on the phone all comfy in her room with the pillow playing her favorite tunes.
