Wow!  What a coincidence!  I AM cooking a 3 course meal for no apparent reason, (other than to give the arteries a run for their  :2cents: :2cents: :2cents:): hotdogs, macaroni & cheese, with potato chips  :exorcize:

TPBM has planted a few annuals in their garden this spring.

Well it just has to be an American TV channel
nope, the first reality TV had SWEDISH ORIGINS IN 1997 called Expedition Robinson...later to be Survivor in the UK & US:http://www.absoluteastronomy.com/enc3/expedition_robinson

AND, the first Swedish contestant that was voted off committed suicide :(:
...Savija left his home in Norrkoping in central Sweden for a nearby railway crossing, and stepped into the path of a speeding commuter train. The 34-year-old had returned only four weeks previously from the remote island in Malaysia where he had been competing in Expedition: Robinson, the Swedish version of the reality gameshow that was to appear some years later in the UK as Survivor.

I've been looking for DSL for a long time and finally found one that looks like it's gonna work for my geographical location.  Fingers crossed.

Well, I did have a trip planned to Lake Tahoe...around the same area that is shown in jamesk's Member Website, but needs to be put off for later.  Drat!

TPBM learned how to type on a manual typewriter!  And remembers what color/brand it was.

I did just do that not too long ago.  Remember what mitch had mentioned about spring cleaning/dust bunnies, but since the computer wasn't a yr old yet, didn't open it up until I heard a hum sound from the tower.  Was surprised at the dust (not alot tho) that was in there.  Used my canned air sprayer and no more hum.

TPBM uses glasses/contacts so they can see better.

 GUILTY AS CHARGED: I DO. (how'd you know, ripley???)
despite using surge protectors, i had a VCR and TV ZAPPED in electrical storms -- so i always am extra careful, with my electronics.

(ripley is clairvoyant)

TPBM just got their hair cut.

Nope, but visiting the hairdresser is on my calendar soon.

@as far as clairvoyant...my sixth sense is quite underdeveloped.
But here's a quesion?  You've had a VCR/TV zapped even WITH surge protectors?  OK, so what's up with that?  Surge protectors don't do as advertised?

Or is it the size/intensity of the storm?
Inquiring minds want to know.

 :hammy:
nope, i am an open book...
 :gwave:
YEP - had that stuff FRIED DEAD, even WITH surge protection. VCR and TV were killed off separately in TWO different storms.
-- these were during fairly bad electrical storms in texas. everything was fixed -- under warranty -- but i was upset that the surge protection didnt work... the techs told me they see TONS of dead electronics after each storm, that severe power spikes are too much for the units to handle... these were storms where lightening would make all the lights in the house FLASH bright for a few milli-seconds, then the electricity would go out, sometimes for very large areas...
ALSO, i had the equipment Powered ON... possibly wouldnt have died if their power was OFF, dont know...
- i took to turning off and UNPLUGGING equipment, in storms...
(some of the storms were BAD, lightening strikes on the ground, stories of people minding their own business, getting hit -- and i think even killed -- by lightening)

TPBM NEEDS TO TELL ME WHY, EVERY TIME I HIT AN APOSTROPHE NOW, I DONT GET ONE -- AND "FIND" COMES UP AT THE BOTTOM OF THE SCREEN INSTEAD....?

ALSO, MY up-down-right-left arrows DOESNT WORK AT ALL...
YEEKS! is it ME... or is it LandZ???

...tpbe is ALSO shocked the surge protectors dont always work as advertised...

(WEIRD: my apostrophe and arrows WORK now... my computer has GHOSTS...)
