post your favorite story of the otherwise ordinary, lower-middle class, utag boodle, here!

utag had a "classic" 1981 triumph acclaim, which often started ~and~ ran.  when it did, he was relieved. on that fateful day that he saved the lives of the 28 residents of the old folk's home where he lived,  he did so by sacrificing his beloved acclaim.  you see, he'd taken the chicken off the stove, and it was still frying in the cast iron pan, full of bubbling oil.  it spilled on the seat, and enough heat got to it that it ignited.  utag had enough sense to quickly pull into the ditch across from the fire station next door.  had he left his ill fated acclaim in front of the old folk's home, they'd be goners.  bravo and kudos to utag!  job well done!
