WORDL was sold
« on: February 01, 2022, 12:05:52 PM »
I'm sad because the New York Times bought WORDL from the developer for a figure in the "low seven digits" which means 10 million dollars or more. I can't blame the developer. If someone offered me $10,000,000 at a fairly young age, knowing I could retire, would be hard to pass up.

The NYT wants to increase its online subscription numbers which probably means that the game will not be free in the near future.  :(

Fortunately, I found a substitute that I also play daily, called Hello WORDL.
Code: [Select]
https://foldr.moe/hello-wordl/I limit myself to one word there otherwise I'd end up wasting hours playing that game.
