Once shown, it shouldn't have shown again.

Probably based on cookies, because I keep seeing it at every visit.
Unless I log in and tell it to remember me.

I wanted to give a quick update on the lawsuit filed by Enigma Software Group against Bleeping Computer, LLC. On July 8th 2016, we received a very thorough 51 page opinion & order from the Judge regarding our Motion to Dismiss. Unfortunately, due to the very high standards required when deciding if a claim should be dismissed, only 1 out of 4 of Enigma's claims were dismissed. In summary, the libel claims, libel per se, and Lanham act claims are allowed to continue, while the Trade Libel/Commercial Disparagement claim was dismissed.
More at BleepingComputer has received the Opinion & Order regarding their Motion to Dismiss the Enigma Lawsuit

Edit to add:  Anyone who is familiar with Quietman7 and the help he provides would know absolutely that any information he provided was made purely to offer advice.

I learned last night that because quietman7 is a volunteer the donations made to BC do not cover his legal and travel expenses.  As a result, quietman7 had to hire his own legal counsel.  If anyone is in a position to help quietman7, see Support quietman7 in Enigma vs Bleeping Computer Lawsuit for more information.

Well, it seems all is over, with all suits and counter-suits dropped but IMO, Enigma won. Why? Because all reference of Enigmas actions have been deleted from BC.

Yes, it has been over for a while.  I suspect that the cost for continuing the lawsuit was too much for BC to handle.  Sure, the site has ads and gets donations, but Grinler is a private citizen and BC isn't a business.

Yes, it has been over for a while.
Yeah, I know it has - just noticed there was no followup here about it. I think it sad some civil liberties group didn't take up the cause for BC and QM7.

What got me started on it today was some @#$%^ over at another site who admits to not liking BC and Malwarebytes suggested QM7 got what he deserved for getting "paid by some company to blackmail another by false claims".  >:(

I don't know what lesson to take away from it. I am not one to accept being stifled for presenting the facts. Now as far as the software being "bogus", not sure that is valid as it does seem to work.

The problem is on the company side with their tactics to almost intimidate and scare people into a subscription service to remove found issues, then sticking them recurring charges, making it very difficult to cancel those subscriptions and uninstalling the software, and customer support and even upper management putting the blame on the customers. At least those are some of the complaints I've heard about.

GRRRRRRRRRR, that infuriates me as well.  He wasn't paid diddly-squat.  The OP asked about the software, he presented links to and quotes from other sources providing information.

What we call "scareware".

As to notifying via PM, some forums frown on that.  When I see a program on a computer that falls within the category of not a rogue but not quite on the up-and-up or, as Digerati mentioned, only scans and requires payment in order to remove what is found, here's an example of what can be posted from a malware removal thread not that long ago:

Quote
First, however, did you intentionally install ByteFence on your computer?  If so, it is my understanding that the free version will only scan your computer and it is necessary to purchase the licensed product (which appears to have an automatic renewal) in order to remove what is detected.  I have also read reports that it is pushed on the system with bundled installers.  If you did not intentionally install this program, you can uninstall it from Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features.  Please let me know in your next reply if you uninstalled or retained the program.
