« on: August 17, 2005, 11:52:17 PM »
Symantec, maker of the popular Norton series of anti-virus, security and computer management tools, announced today that it had acquired security start-up Sygate for an undisclosed sum it will pay in cash.

i see your bummer and raise you a DOUBLE  BUMMER !!!!

i don't ever remember symantic ( norton) having anything for free
so i am guessing on this one but think that is the end of a good free firewall!

think symantic would have to close shop if they didn't have the $$$$ to suck the life out of smaller companies !
when was the last time that they EVER created software?

we won't even talk about their support ( or lack of)

to put this in english

THIS SUCKS,1895,1848935,00.asp

I shutter yet again at what that indicates: PowerQuest was absorb by them and there went a great Clone Program, i wasted my time, CD's, & money on GHOST and turned instead to Paragon:
Now this, i can feel for you Sygate people.
