Ad-aware freezing

Hi gang,
Is there a known issue with Ad-aware freezing in both normal and safe mode while trying to load defs ?
The user tried uninstalling 1.06 and installing 1.95 has the same problem with either version?

think that is a typo? (1.95)

v 1.06 should have been the fix for that

gotta ask
have they tried a uninstall then delete the folder in programs
then install 1.06 WITH all shut down in the system tray and OFFLINE

disable a/v firewall/ and all anti-spyware, and any other programs running in the sys tray?

can't hurt and sometimes works ;-)

you didn't say the os?
but if
XP they MUST install as admin!

Well I think some progess was made, User was able to run Ad-aware in safe mode, I had him manually download updates,
Tried to run in normal mode and no go  :(

he has a conflict with one of his running programs
and thatis why it hangs ;-)

he could prabably do a update ok, just the scan problem

did he have all shut down when he did the scan?

but a safe log is good enough to post on !!!!!!
if you want to post it no problem , just have him send the scan results to you in a txt file !
don't need to see the mru's or cookies

(can just cut and paste the whole screen results)

Thanks again Mitch, Having him try and disable ,"ZoneAlarm" "Spyware Guard " "ETRUST EZ ANTIVIRUS" and "Tea Timer"
Asked to see if diabling all of those will help,
If not asked to run a full scan in safe mode  :D
