cannot browse internet w/ie 8
gray button w/right-pointing blue arrow near the - [] x buttons on title bar of
---- ie 8
------- even if ie 8 is running in "w/o add-ins" mode
---- any new mail message created w/ outlook 2003

can ping google.com which proves:
---- good network connectivity to the internet
---- dns works fine

Hi, Temmu.

HJT doesn't give us a lot to go on these days  That said, there is nothing untoward showing in the log.

A few questions:

Do you have similar problems with Firefox?
What is the significance of "any new mail message created w/ outlook 2003"?
Have you tried a repair of IE?  Go to Add/Remove programs and instead of selecting Uninstall, click on Change.
