Hi!! (Hi Corrine if you are still here  )

I have a friend who has wireless broadband in his house but for some reason often cant log into yahoo messenger etc...

he has checked all his setting etc but to no avail...will work fine sometimes, other times not...

Does it sound more like a server problem? signal strength of his connection that would be causing it??

Any ideas??

Thanks so much!!

Deb

G'day, Deb!

Indeed, I am still here!

Without more information, it is difficult to troubleshoot your friend's problem.  It is possible the connection is dropping off due to the distance to the router or poor router placement.  In that case, an extender may be needed.  This article may be helpful:  10 tips for improving your wireless network

It could also be that the router needs a firmware update (see How to Update Your Router's Firmware).

If the above does not solve the problem, please provide more information about the computer and the router.

I hope you and Patrick are well.  I can't believe the twins were four years old in March.  What a handful they must be.  How about new pictures of Noah and Keltie?  I believe my memory is fading with old age.  Was it you & Patrick expecting when I spoke with Judy (probably about 2 years ago already) or someone else in the family?  Please tell Judy and Mel I sent along a huge {{{HUG}}} and hope they are well.

Hi!

Thanks so much for the info Corrine, I'll pass it on and see if this helps my friend out... If not, I'll try and grab some more info off him..its driving him insane...LOL

I can't believe my babies are 4yrs old also! Time has flown by so quickly...it just amazes me..They are going really well, daycare have said they think Noah is basically borderline gifted ..not sure where he gets the smarts from though..LOL...he reads and writes, sounds out big words with ease, its just amazing to watch! He is also very cheeky and such a little stirer... Keltie is your average 4yr old when ti comes to reading and writing which upsets her cause she can't do what Noah does, but she has common sense LOL..unlike Noah...She is such a little mother hen to Noah, well all of us, always thinking of others..such a little sweetie and everyone just adores her....We have decided to not start them at school next year, even though acedemically they are ready, but I thought they could have another year of being kids..as school is so different these days..I don't think Noah would cope emotionally to be honest being away from me for 5 days a week and for Kelt, she has a severe articulation delay with a rare speech disorder, so that will just us more time to correct keeping them back..plus, I like the idea of having my babies with me for another year, as its all gone by too quickly...

No more babies here for us sadly, Patrick doesnt want anymore :( I would love another one or 2..but am also happy with Noah and Keltie if we dont..Allie has a daughter, Amber, who is 13 months younger than my 2..so unless thats who Judy meant?? Melly got married in Morroco back In April, to a man she has been talking to online for many many years now.. He is still over there, they are hoping he will be out here in the coming months..She went and got married and didnt tell anyone (well I knew :D) so surprised everyone on her return!! her dresses (she had 3) were absolutely amazing!!

I hope you are going well! Its a shame Judy never came back on and checked in after you spoke with her that time... she is still out at Bathurst living with Mel and going well.....Steph is still in Perth, has been 5yrs July just gone and is still happily single...

Ok, without further a do, here are a couple of pics taken in the last few months!!

Hi, Deb.

Thank you so much for the update!  Yes, Allie, it was Judy was talking about.  I told you my memory was fading.  :)  Keltie and Noah are absolutely gorgeous!  I suspect that you will have just as difficult a time emotionally when they start school.  They grow up so very quickly.

Mel did what?!!?!  OMG, bless her soul.  She needs to get herself here and tell all!

Oh, and back to "business", let us know how your friend makes out.

{{{HUGS}}} to all!

Corrine
