Corrine, I am on my desktop, the laptop I am trying to fix is my grandaughters.  I posted  the problem in Malwarebyte

Are you referring to this topic here (total shutdown/crash laptop toshiba xp 32) or do you mean that I should disregard that topic because you posted at the Malwarebytes forum?
