Do you really have to give your life history away to do a simple search on the internet? No. If you use Google take a few minutes to read there privacy policy. We can use your telephone number, contacts and tell you what time you took a poop  I can understand you need to make some money, but you don't need my life history. If you continue to use it, you are agreeing that you just don't care.

The one that isn't a giant, but has been up and coming for a number of years now is duckduckgo. You don't have to give away your life history to do a search. No, it's not a giant, but provides good results quickly. Don't let name fool you. They have a pretty simple privacy policy.

"DuckDuckGo does not collect or share personal information. That is our privacy policy in a nutshell. The rest of this page tries to explain why you should care."

Yeah, a search of this site would show that many of us have been using DuckDuckGo as our default search engine for some time. But the reminder is good.
