Niecarrah

Need the help of the wise ones who play here, LOL.

We need to buy a signal booster for our Hi speed internet... I want the best dollar for dollar and am taking ALL advice seriously!

We have a sprawling situation here and need to strengthen and sustain our wireless signal around our property and in house set ups. Multiple computers all wireless.    :embarrassed:

Niecarrah,
Wireless networking is ok but the more walls / objects there are between you and your router the less signal you will have.
there are other ways you may consider such as using your homes power cable by Turning your Home Wiring Into A Computer Network!
I use the dLAN® 300 AV Wireless+

You can get them pretty cheap if you look around.

Q: does it work
A: It does seem to for a few hours at least.

Cannot locate this product in the US market :-(

Niecarrah,
See Turn Your Home Wiring Into A Computer Network!
QuoteNetworking companies like D-Link offer Powerline Ethernet (wired) Adapters, inexpensive devices (under $140 per pair)

my guess is that you can get them cheaper now as that was a few years ago.

We expect a full report on how well it works.

You may also want to take a look at the tips here:  How to improve your wireless network and boost its signal.

So do I but I see no reason why it wouldn't.

Niecarrah,
You can use them to add WLAN zones in the home at the same time allowing PC's / Laptops in the room to the Internet using just one dLAN adapter.

Actually what I had in mind(and perhaps asked incorrectly) was shown in the link from Corrine. The little thingers I was looking for were there. They are called: High gain antennas, or maybe it is wireless repeater.  Anyway I will look into these more deeply and buy one or the other? Or perhaps both?

Niecarrah,
You can get a repeater however if you have an old router that is in a draw not being used you can use it as an extender.
